Customer Reviews about Williams Day R:
- ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆Mr. Williams took a case three months ago against the Douglas County Sheriff's Dept. for false arrest only to drop it without telling me. In his initial response to the Sheriff's Dept., Mr. Williams listed his own personal grievances, which seemed unprofessional and childish, i.e. complaining about staffing levels at the Sheriff's Dept., which had nothing to do with my case. I was arrested for trespassing while trying to eat lunch in my RV while in the parking lot of the Walmart in Carson City, NV, which I had just returned from shopping at 10 minutes earlier, for refusing an unlawful order to leave private property, though I had committed no crime, there were no complaints against me, and we had just arrived there 1 hour earlier, only to be released after the Deputy's supervisor arrived. In the Incident Report, the Deputy claimed that he was only informing me of Walmart's policies. Mr. Williams and I both picked up on the fact that the Deputy was there for more than 30 minutes, how long would it take to inform someone of Walmart’s policies, why would a Deputy be informing anyone of a business entities policies, and why was I arrested if he were only informing me of Walmart's policies? I believe Mr. Williams dropped my case because I disagreed with his response to the Sheriff’s Dept. and because I did not agree with his desire for me to hire a private investigator, which seemed like a ridiculous expense for such a minor case and since the Incident Report alone made it clear the Deputy lied. Mr. Williams stated to me that in another case against the Sheriff's Dept., he hired an investigator who apparently turned up the fact that his own client was a drug addict, how this impacted his client’s case I could not say, but he used his client's money to hire the investigator only to drop the case as a result of what the investigator turned up on Mr. Williams client. Mr. Williams was the first attorney I contacted and he stated to me that, based on what I had told him, I had a case, only to drop my case after I returned to Los Angeles without informing me until I recently asked for any correspondence. Since I am not currently in the Carson Valley area and will have to return to hire another attorney, this has caused damage to me and, since I don’t believe that Mr. Williams will freely issue a check for my expenses to return to the Carson Valley area, I will likely have to take him to small claims. In addition, Mr. Williams is a religious zealot, which is obvious from the moment you walk in to his office, and pushes his brand of religious crazy in his office. I intend on filing a complaint with the Nevada State Bar Association in regards to his actions on my case and his reasoning for dropping my case, which I believe to be a lie, since, again, it was Mr. Williams who clearly indicated to me that I have a case only to drop my case because he claims the Deputy also had a right to be in Walmart's parking lot, though this was never about the Deputy's right to be there it was about my right to be there. Finally, Mr. Williams has sent the following email threatening me with a cease and desist order to remove my post: Dear Mr. R: I was disappointed to read the negative and untruthful Google review you gave me. I am currently in the process of contacting an attorney to represent me in a cease and desist action against you, personally. Your unwarranted threat to file a complaint with the State Bar certainly places us in an adversarial position. However, before I retain counsel, I am going to take this opportunity ask you to rescind the Google review. You and I both know that I accepted a retainer from you and that I promptly investigated your claim. Then within about three business days, I determined that you did not have a viable case and I terminated my representation of you, fully refunding every dollar of your money. Once you rescind the Google review I will favorably consider your request. If you do not rescind the review by May 16, 2016, I will be considering my legal options.By David R, August 22, 2017
